Saturday was my last day at this seasons NYFW! I had a full day planned with shows, events, and activities with my girls. I started the day by going to the Taoray Wang show and ended with Francesca Liberatore. Taoray Wang's show was nothing less than absolute beauty in my opinion. Let's chat about it first!
Designer Wang Tao’s label TAORAY WANG is designed for the powerful, professional and modern woman who wants to be stylish, elegant and sexy. The brand serves a global and confident woman who is not afraid to show her femininity in edgy design while she plays her role as a politician, lawyer and other executive roles. This is all proven true as the brand is known for dressing Tiffany Trump during the election process and most notably for the inauguration.
CROSSOVER, the newest collection from Taoray Wang, meticulously blends contrasting shapes, luxurious fabrics and bold accessories for a modern take on suiting. Paired under the strong and bold suits are elegant and dainty negligees, which are symbols of power, business and prestige. This was probably my favorite part of the collection. I'm obsessed with how fashion is adopting the use of elegant undergarments and lingerie into their everyday looks. I feel it is a way to celebrate femininity without being overly provocative.
Here are some of my favorite looks from the show, as well as a peek at the designer herself!
After leaving this show, I was able to attend and event by Shop Style called the Shop Style Social House for bloggers and influencers in fashion. This was a glam moment for sure! My girls and I walked in and were immediately given complimentary champagne. The event took place at the Canoe Studios in Chelsea, Manhattan with a beautiful view of the city. From hair and makeup to nails and goodie bags, this was definitely one of my favorite things we did in the city. Thank you so much for the invite, Shop Style!
To end the night, my friends and I were able to attend the Francesca Liberatore show. As said by the team themselves, "For Autumn Winter 2017 / 2018, designer Francesca Liberatore takes us on a trip through two distinctly different Hyde Parks: Hyde Park, London in the 90's with a nod to super band Oasis and Hyde Park, New York to the library and home of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Liberatore explores the powerful and popular, the effect their words and actions have on society and the role that society plays in shaping or destroying them."
This show was my favorite showcasing of outerwear for the upcoming season! The use of color pops as well as material choices were also something that stuck with me. As I've said before, I love the sheer and elegant garment trends we are seeing in fashion now and I am amazed at seeing how each designer pushes it differently.
Here are my favorite's from that show!
